Episode 5: Keisha Bussey

Today, our guest is Keisha Bussey. Keisha D. Bussey has been an educator for the past 19 years and has a love and passion for dance. She is a God-fearing woman. She is a Dance Educator, Speaker, and Owner & Artistic Director of Fierce6 Elite Dance & Fitness. Keisha D. Bussey, is a true “Valley Girl”, originally born and raised in Harlingen, Texas. Keisha has been dancing since she was in her mother’s womb. She started dancing at the Boys & Girls Club as a young girl. Keisha’s formal background includes a Bachelor of Science degree with a minor in dance and theatre and a Master’s in Education and Master’s in Counseling from Prairie View A & M University. She resides in Houston, Texas teaching dance to elementary students at Carter Academy for the Performing Arts. She has collaborated with elementary dance teachers and written dance curriculum for grade levels K-5 with Aldine I.S.D. school district. Keisha has been nominated at the 40under40 Alvin Ailey and received the award. She has also been awarded the teacher of the month award. Keisha has been featured in the World News Spotlight Blog, Empowering Women and Voyage Houston. Keisha is a member of the Texas Dance Educator's Association (TDEA) where she is a Convention Curriculum Assistant each year and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated.
